BRC - Contact Us
The items manufactured in the Learn to Earn Business Resource Centre are made by recent graduates of our sewing programme. These ladies and gentlemen come from communities where the unemployment rate ranges between 30%-70% and most households are made-up of 7 adults and a number of children. The communities are characterised by high poverty and many live in informal housing.
By purchasing from and using the BRC to sew conference bags, picnic blankets etc you are playing a role in breaking the cycle of poverty in South Africa.
If you would like to contact the BRC for a quote or placement query please contact us on +27 21 361 5972
We are in the process of redesigning our website & the page you are visiting is currently under construction.

BRC - Product Range
The BRC has 3 different product ranges -
Conference Bag Range
Golf Range - flags, caddy bibs etc
BRC - Zakehle
Zakhele (iXhosa) - English translation is 'build for yourself'.
Currently the BRC has two main Zakhele projects – a small abalone net making enterprise and a larger sewing production line. Both ventures provide a space for apprentices to further develop their sewing and production line training in a real world environment. What excites us about this project is that the outputs which include a range of conference products are sold to fund the training. Clients of the BRC include The University of Stellenbosch Business School and the TFG Foundation for which we produce conference bags and disaster relief blankets respectively.
You can help fund this social enterprise through the purchase of products such as our conference bags.
